The Chisinau Municipal Council (CMC) comes together for a meeting on September 3 at 10am, IPN reports.

The agenda of the meeting includes the agreeing of the numerical and nominal composition of the standing commissions, constitution of the commission for distributing the resources of the reserve fund of Chisinau municipality and of the commission for attesting and authorizing representatives of Chisinau municipality in economic entities. There will also be set up the Administration Board of the Chisinau Population Support Municipal Fund and the municipal commission for privatizing the housing fund.

It should be noted that no majority coalition has been so far formed in the CMC. The Liberal faction and the faction of the Electoral Bloc “Europeans People’s Platform of Moldova – Iurie Leanca”, two Liberal-Democratic councilors and a Democratic councilor are discussing the formation of a coalition. The representatives of the four parties would have together 26 seats.

In the June 14 elections, the Party of Socilaists won 19 seats in the CMC, the Liberal Party – 17 seats, the Electoral Bloc “Europeans People’s Platform of Moldova – Iurie Leanca” – 6 seats, the “Our Party” – 3 seats, the Party of Communists – 3 seats, the Liberal Democratic Party – 2 seats, while the  Democratic Party – 1 seat.
