Chisinau Council factions state it's not logical to abrogate nominal compensations regulation
A number of factions from the Chisinau Municipal Council (CMC) state it is not logical to cancel the regulation on nominal compensations. The statement comes after mayor Dorin Chirtoaca stated “there are intentions in the present majority in the council to abrogate the regulation.”
When asked on November 17 by Info-Prim Neo, Emil Gutu, the leader of the Social-Democratic faction in the CMC has said he got no offer to consider this issue. “If the mayor asks, we'll support him since it's the responsibility of the City Hall,” he said.
Still the Christian-Democratic faction leader Alexandru Corduneanu has another opinion. He says it's not correct to vote and then to abrogate something. “We'll opt for preserving the regulation,” the councilor said.
Liberal-Democratic faction leader Alexandru Tanase has said he doesn't know “about the rumor of the mayor.” “If such an initiative exists, we'll react adequately, depending on the arguments that will be brought about. But it's not logical to vote for the regulation twice,” the councilor said.
The regulation provides for the municipality to compensate for 40% of the heat charge of the poor families receiving a monthly income of less than 1,450 lei per family member.
