Chisinau Council distributes plots for building social apartments on under public-private partnership

The Chisinau Municipal Council has chosen the plots of land on which to construct apartment buildings for socially-underprivileged groups of people and budget-paid employees. The projects will be implemented under public-private partnerships, while the plots will be up for action, Info-Prim Neo reports. The General Division of Architecture, Urbanism and Land Relations proposed eight plots of land for building apartments for employees of the State University of Physical Education and Sport, the Academy of Economic Studies, the State University of Medicine and Pharmacy and for persons on low incomes. The plots are situated on the streets Ialoveni, Trifan Balta, Doina, Ion Dumeniuc, Nicolae Milescu-Spataru, Titulescu, Studentilor and Testemitanu. The public-private partnership contracts will be signed by the Mayor General on behalf of the local authorities, while the private partner will be selected by a special commission approved by the Chisinau Council. The commission consists of deputy mayor Nistor Grozavu, councilors Pavel Caba, Ghenadie Dumanschi, Vadim Cojusneanu, Regina Apostolova, Mihai Severovan, and representatives of the legal service, the Construction Division, the General Finance Division and others. According to the chief architect of Chisinau Vlad Modarca, the apartments could be bought through home loans. The lists of recipients will be compiled in cooperation with the district heads’ offices and the health, education, social assistance and other divisions.
