The authorities in Chisinau are examining the possibility of passing form the red COVID-19 alert level to the orange one given the lower number of new infections. “The incidence indicator continues to decline and we hope we will pass from the red alert level to the orange one in time and will gradually contain the pandemic,” the head of the General Social Assistance and Health Division Tatiana Bucharski stated in the ordinary meeting of officials of Chisinau services, IPN reports.
Mayor of Chisinau Ion Ceban said vaccination remains the priority of 2021 and there are sufficient vaccines at present. The COVID-19 vaccines in the capital city are now accessible to everyone. During the next few weeks, there will be organized vaccination marathons, with the mobilization of different groups of citizens. The inhabitants of Chisinau can get a vaccine at any primary medical assistance institution by going there directly or based on appointment.
Acceding to the most recent data, 198 persons with COVID-19 are now in the municipal hospitals. Twenty-one of them are from the country’s districts. A number of 1,222 persons are under supervision. As many as 56,000 persons got vaccinated in the capital city. Almost 6,000 of them were immunized with both of the doses.
