The Moldovan constitutional authorities confirm that the Moldovans living in the Transnistrian region will be able to take part in the November 1 presidential elections. The Reintegration Policies Bureau said that 42 polling stations intended for Transnistrian voters with Moldovan identification papers will be established in 22 localities situated in the Security Zone and in the municipalities of Chisinau and Bălț, IPN reports.
In a press release, the Bureau says that 247,600 electors could vote at the 42 polling stations. By four stations will be established in Rezina, Sănătăuca sand Varnița, by two stations in 11 localities and by one station in eight localities.
The Moldovan authorities said Tiraspol announced through local media outlets that it will not allow the citizens who want to exercise the right to vote to cross the administrative line without obliging these to self-isolate for 14 days or to do a COVID-19 test at their own expense.
