The Chisinau Municipal Council in its November 3 meeting approved the transfer a part of the land situated near Soseaua Balcani St that is public property of Chisinau under the public property of the state, with subsequent modification of its purpose for reconstructing the public road М 21 Chisinau-Dubasari-Poltava (Ukraine), IPN reports.

Councilor Alexandr Komarov said the implementation of this project will help ease traffic as there will be built two one-direction lanes and the transport road to Vatra that will enable to enter/leave the city through Vatra and Ghidighici.

The land beneficiary, state-run company “State Road Administration”, commits itself not to allow erecting buildings in the absence of the required authorization issued by the competent bodies. It will also request the Government to exclude the land from the boundaries of the green areas of the forest-park “Buiucani” and to modify its purpose.

The project is to be implemented during three years. A sum of 22 million lei will be allocated from the Road Fund for the purpose.
