After removing any snow leftovers from the roadside, workers from the Chisinau amenities division have started removing the sand that accumulated along the curbs as well.

Division head Ion Burdiumov told the City Hall meeting on Monday that the effort involves 370 workers daily. Special vehicles and equipment are also used.

In parallel, Ion Burdiumov says the municipal workers will also rake over green spaces in residential areas if the weather allows.

This morning, the Division deployed eight street-sweeping vehicles to clean sidewalks in the central part of the city, with other areas to follow soon.
