Chisinau City Hall’s new organisational chart will be ready within one month
A new organisational chart of the Chisinau City Hall will be presented no later than in one month, Sergiu Polihovici, head of the City Hall’s Office, told Info-Prim Neo.
According to him, at recent City Hall meetings, all the subdivisions were requested to prepare information on the available and needed personnel as well as activity plans in order to set the objectives of the new structure of the City Hall.
The cited source says that once the new organisational chart is in place, a subdivision will be created to attract, promote and manage investments in Chisinau Municipality. This new body will also be tasked to formulate projects for attracting financing from international donors.
The head of the City Hall’s Office considers that what the local administration now needs to do is just to give green light to projects, especially since there’s no problem in identifying the areas the projects must address, because they are already provided in the General Urban Plan. “We have the material. Now we need to establish our priorities and lay all the ideas out on paper”, Polihovici explained.
Given that the projects with the participation of the European Commission require co-financing on the part of local authorities, they will have to be approved with the majority vote of the municipal councillors, the cited source remarked.
At the moment, the City Hall is assisted by UNDP Moldova in reforming the City Hall’s Office. In addition, the Business Consulting Institute is offering technical assistance in attracting EU financing meant for Moldova-Romania cross-border programmes, Polihovici said.
