Chisinau City Hall to issue order to revoke permit to demolish Național Hotel

The Chisinau City Hall said the municipality’s specialists are preparing an order to revoke the permit to demolish the building of Național Hotel following the violations identified at the scene, IPN reports.

“When on the spot, specialists of the General Architecture and Land Relations Division and the Public Transport and Communications Division found a number of irregularities, including related to the placing of the fence on the public road and the  closure of this to traffic without any legal reason. The City Hall didn’t issue a permit for these works and for the closure of the roadway,” runs a press release.

According to the municipality, in the absence of such a permit, the police should have immediately become involved to stop the committed violations.

The Technical Surveillance Agency is to verify the declaration concerning the start of works and to see if the general contractor has a project to execute the demolition works coordinated in accordance with the law.

“As regards the claiming of ownership over the building, the Public Property Agency should shed light in this case and take measures to safeguard the state interests,” says the press release.

The Chisinau City Hall asks the state bodies to intervene immediately and take away the fence placed near Național Hotel.
