Chisinau City Hall will develop a municipal program for the provision of medical-social services. The program will target socially vulnerable people and will be based on the concept promoted by the World Health Organization on medical-social assistance, stated Boris Gîlca, head of the General Directorate of Medical Assistance.
The initiative will be carried out through the territorial medical associations jointly with the territorial social assistance subdivisions of Chisinau.
Deputy Mayor Angela Cutasevici stated that among the main objectives is the mapping of all medical and social services offered to beneficiaries. “Subsequently this will be a component of a wider population support program. We will develop a series of services, and these activities will have a beneficial impact on the residents of Chisinau. It’s also about health education and social support for various groups of the population,” the deputy mayor said.
The program will be launched by the end of the current year, after approval by the Chisinau Municipal Council.
