The municipal authorities have started taking down grill gazebos installed without permission by a private entrepreneur near a pond in Valea Trandafirilor Park. Twenty light constructions were disassembled today, and four others yesterday, with the owner ordered to remove them from the park without delay.
The City Hall said in a press release that no permits had been issued for the gazebos and an order signed last year for their voluntary disassembly has been ignored. Earlier acting mayor Ruslan Codreanu said members of the public have been complaining about the grill gazebos as a source of smoke and noise pollution.
The Park is undergoing a 13.7 million lei rehabilitation, with alleys being repaired and improvements being made such as a skatepark and bike lanes.
