Chisinau City Hall pays part of debt to Termocom heater

20 out of 147 million lei, the Chisinau local authorities owe to the heat supplier Termocom, have been transferred to it. The announcement was made on 2 September, at the City Hall's sitting, by the Housing Direction head, Dionisie Boaghie. Termocom's representatives did not attend the sitting, Info-Prim Neo reports. According to Dionisie Boaghie, Termocom's manager said last week the money was necessary to pay to end the preparation works for the cold season and the debts to the suppliers of thermal agent: CET 1 and CET 2 power plants. Boaghie says there are problems related to the preparation for the cold season, but they are solved by Termocom. The praetor of Centru district, Vladimir Sarban said the dwellers associations solve those problems as a rule. “If there are problems, we'll attend to them, but the housing associations usually are pressed by dwellers to solve those problems, which appear every year,” Sarban said. Experts from the Swedish company Sweco are in Chisinau to audit the heat supplier. According to a communique released by Termocom, the audit is planned to end by October, as the Swedish company will present a final report. The presentation will get together decision-makers from SA Termocom, the Chisinau administration, the Government and the Energy Regulator ANRE, the World Bank and International Monetary Fund. Following a request by Termocom and the Chisinau local authorities, the World Bank has developed “reference terms for an economic and technical auditing at Termocom.” The experts of Swedish company were selected in a tender by the Swedish Agency for International Development (SIDA), as the Swedish government payed to organize the tender.
