Chisinau City Hall helps Transnistrian schools
The Chisinau City Hall from 2012 will allocate money from the municipal budget for purchasing computers, furniture, textbooks and other things for Romanian language schools working in the Transnistrian region, Info-Prim Neo reports.
The announcement was made by Mayor General Dorin Chirtoaca in an event held to celebrate 20 years of the foundation of the Tiraspol-based High School “Lucian Blaga”.
“As the City Hall finances a number of subdivisions of the central administration, we decided to allocate at least a small amount for equipment and development in order to make common cause with our co-nationals who are in a more difficult situation than we,” said Dorin Chirtoaca.
The project started with the purchase of 20 computers that were given to the High School “Lucian Blaga”.
The sums that will be allocated within the project will be specified later.
