Chisinau Mayor Dorin Chirtoaca issued an ordinance making it illegal for Apa-Canal Chisinau, Termocom, Chisinau-Gaz and Chisinau’s power distributor to disconnect apartment blocks of all forms of property from the supplies of water, hot water, gas, electric power and heat in the cold season 2007/2008. The City Hall’s PR department said in a statement cited by Info-Prim Neo that the failure of some apartment owners to pay utility bills in time must not be a reason for the distributors to cut off entire blocks.
