Chisinau's best 10 athletes and 9 coaches have been awarded at the 13th Sports Gala organized by the Chisinau City Hall, Info-Prim Neo reports. The athletes were invited on Monday, December 26, at the City Hall meeting. Mayor Dorin Chirtoaca handed diplomas, money prizes and flowers. According to the head of the Education, Youth and Sports Division Tatiana Nagnibeda-Tverdohleb, the value of the prize is 2000 lei. The athletes are from different branches – judo, weightlifting, athletics, mixed fighting and Greco-roman wrestling. One of the winners is Judoka Sergiu Toma, who was also named the Moldovan Athlete of the Year.
