The Chisinau City Hall requested the citizens of the capital city to pronounce on the introduction of a new trolleybus route, No. 12, which will be a shorter variant of route No. 24, with five new units of transport. An opinion poll on the issue is conducted through the official Facebook website of the Chisinau City Hall, IPN reports.

The proposal was formulated following complains about crowdedness in trolleybuses during rush hour to and from Ciocana.

The current itinerary of route No. 24 will remain the same: “Mircea cel Bătrân Blvd – Miorița St”. The new route No.  12  will have a shorter itinerary – “Mircea cel Bătrân Blvd – A. Mateevici St”.

Currently, trolleybuses No. 24 perform 464 routes daily. When route No. 12 is introduced, the trolleybuses on the two routes will run together for 624 times, at an interval of three minutes at rush hour.

The citizens can answer with “Yes” or “No” the question “Do you support this proposal?”.
