Chisinau City Hall announces national academic music contest “Eugen Doga”

Students of music and arts schools from all over the country are invited to take part in the national academic music contest “Eugen Doga”. The event is organized on April 13 to promote the artistic creation of composer Eugen Doga and ensure the exchange of experience between artistic education institutions, IPN reports.

The competition consists of the following categories: piano, string instruments (violin, cello), and classical guitar. Participating students of music schools will be divided into three age groups. The first group includes children aged between 7 and 10, the second group – children aged between 11 and 13, the third group – teenagers aged between 14 and 18. The participants will prepare the repertoire according to the age group and will perform without rehearsals.

Applicants can send  the form to concursnationaleugendoga@gmail.com by April 8, with the specification “Eugen Doga” Contest.

The Chisinau City Hall said that each competitor will receive a diploma of participation. There will be awarded the Top Prize for each category, Prizes I, II, III and mentions for each age bracket.

The results of the contest will be made public at the Gala Concert on April 21.
