The man who committed a series of murders, including the killing of a young couple Durlesti, was arrested, prosecutor of Chisinau municipality Ivan Diacov said in the online program “Without myths” of the Chisinau newspaper “Panorama”, IPN reports.

Diacov said the person who committed the crime in Durlesti is in penitentiary and they are ‘to work with him’. The ‘Durlesti maniac’ was sentenced to 23 years in jail for another offense. To fully reveal the homicide, the Chisinau Prosecutor’s Office needs to have the case transferred to it.

“All those who worked on this case, from the sector police officer to the prosecutors, must be banned from dealing with the investigation,” said Ivan Diacov. He expressed his regret at the fact that many people already suffered as a result of suspicions and illegal arrests.

The prosecutor said that he communicated with victims’ parents, who said that they no longer need something. “The reason is that the law enforcement bodies for several times announced that they identified suspects. Imagine the state of the parents following these announcements. They understood that the law enforcement bodies can do nothing. Gurin (Corneliu Gurin – prosecutor general, e.n.) and others use this case for political purposes and in an absolutely irresponsible way,” said the chief prosecutor of Chisinau.
