The Moldova constitutional authorities called upon the Transnistrian administration to ensure the free movement of people to and from the Transnistrian region in the period of the Easter holiday. Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Eugen Carpov sent a letter with such a request to the political representative of Tiraspol in the Transnistrian settlement process Nina Shtanski, IPN reports.

According to an informative note from the Reintegration Office, the Moldovan authorities asked ensuring also the free movement of the leaders from Chisinau, on April 20-21 and April 27-28. The Transnistrian administration is requested not to erect obstacles to the free movement of the population and not to overshadow the atmosphere of the Easter holidays.

During the Easter holidays the previous years, the Transnistrian authorities reduced the number of checks and opened more crossing points on the Nistru River in order not to cause blockage.
