Chisinau budget revenues go up
The collections from local taxes in the municipality of Chisinau in January-February exceeded the projections by 16%. It is anticipated that in March the collections will be by 6% higher than projected, Info-Prim Neo reports.
More than 1.3 billion lei was planned to be collected in the municipal budget this year. A sum of 213.3 million lei was accumulated during the first two months of the year, as against the projected 183.9 million lei.
“The collections in March were projected to total 111.4 million lei, but the plan will be 6% overfulfilled,” the head of the State Main tax Inspectorate for Chisinau Ludmila Botnari said at Monday's meeting of the City Hall.
The debts of the Chisinau economic entities on March 1 came to 70 million lei. 9 million lei of this sum represents the debts of the organizations managed by the City Hall. “Some companies have debts of over 400,000 lei. Among them are Orvento Metal, the Circus and others,” Botnari said.
She added that the fees for construction authorizations have been only 50% paid.
The Chisinau administration says the additional revenues will be used to cover the budget deficit and to repair the streets.
