All the Chisinau – Bucharest bus routes were cancelled on January 27. Head of the press service of the Ministry of Transport and Road Infrastructure Irina Gasca has told IPN that the 12 routers were cancelled because of the unfavorable weather conditions in Romania.

The purchased tickets were returned. Weather forecasters in Romania issued an orange code for snowstorm for eight counties situated in the southeastern part of the country and a yellow code for snow and blizzard for Iasi, Vaslui, and Bacau.

Two buses with Moldovans remained blocked in Romania owing to snowdrifts. The passengers were accommodated at hotels and pensions.
