The Days of Azerbaijani Culture will take place in Moldova during November 11-15. On this occasion, Chisinau, Balti and Comrat will stage exhibitions, book launches, performances and screenings. Entrance to all the events will be free, Info-Prim Neo reports. In a news conference, Azerbaijan’s Ambassador to Moldova Namig Hasan oglu Aliyev said the official opening of the Days of Azerbaijani Culture will take place in Chisinau at “A.P.Cehov” Theater on November 12, with the presentation of the comedy “Botanist Monsieur Jordan and the Sorcerer-Dervish Mastali Shah”. The play will be performed by the troupe of the State Russian Dramatic Theater of Azerbaijan “Samed Vurgun”. An exhibition titled “Azerbaijan between tradition and modernity” will be mounted at “A.P.Cehov” Theater. The same day, there will be shown the movie “Stepnyak” at the Culture Center “Odeon” in Chisinau. The movie “The Hostage” will be screened at the same center on November 13. A jazz concert will be given at the Palace of Culture in Comrat the same day. The book “Aphorisms by Nizami Ganjavi” in four languages will be presented at the National Library in Chisinau on November 14. A jazz concert will be held at the National Philharmonic “Sergey Lunkevich” in the evening. The movie “Where is the lawyer?” will be shown at the Culture Center “Odeon”. The play “Botanist Monsieur Jordan and the Sorcerer-Dervish Mastali Shah” will be performed at the National Theater “V. Alecsandri” in Balti on November 14. The Days of Azerbaijani Culture in Moldova were celebrated in 2007 as well.
