Prime-minister Vasile Tarlev recommended the Chisinau City Hall to contribute to the financing of the reconstruction of the 4th block of the Emergency Hospital, motivating this with the fact that the mentioned institution “offers services also to Chisinau residents”. In a Governmental press release, cited by Info-Prim Neo, states that Vasile Tarlev is not pleased by the lengthy renovations of the mentioned block and ordered the Construction and Terrain Development Agency to undertake a situation analysis and to suggest solutions. The Ministry of Finances together with the Ministry of Health and Social Protection must identify the required financial resources required for the reparation. At the same time, the Medical Insurance Company and the Ministry of Health and Social Protection will create the list of the required equipment for the repaired block. The Chisinau Emergency Hospital, former municipal property, has been transferred through a Government decision from the local administration account to the responsibility of the Health Ministry in 2005. The hospital was transferred with vast debates at different levels, resulted in a judiciary process and protests of the institution’s medical staff.
