Chisinau Airport keeps status of fastest developing airport in CIS
The Chisinau International Airport has won the “The best airport of the year in the CIS” at the “The airport with the highest development rate” category for the fourth year in a row, Info-Prim Neo reports.
The cup was handed in Moscow. “Receiving this prize honors us and represents the recognition of the efforts of the Chisinau International Airport’s team for developing the airport’s infrastructure and the quality increase of the offered services. The airport’s development will continue to be a high priority in transforming it into the most important airline communication knot in the region”, said Roman Podkorytov, CEO of the Chisinau International Airport
Among Chisinau Airport's latest achievements are a new, more customer-friendly website, a personalized national-style gong, the installation of the logo on building’s facade and of new sliding doors in the terminal. Another achievement is the automatic voice announcement system, which includes 600 announcements in Romanian, English and the language spoken in the destination point (14 languages overall).
The Airport says that the 2010-2011 period has been important for attracting new companies like Lufthansa, Utair, Atlas-Jet or Aerosvit, for increasing flight safety, for restructuring internal processes and improving managerial performance.
The award festivity was organized by the Airport Association, the biggest and most prestigious civil aviation organization in the Commonwealth of Independent States.
