Dorin Chirtoaca returned to his post of mayor general of Chisinau municipality. After finding out the results of the second round of voting, Chirtoaca went to the City Hall to chair the ordinary Monday meeting, Info-Prim Neo reports. The incumbent mayor was met by the same employees of the City Hall with applause and congratulations. Deputy mayor Nistor Grozavu, who held the post of mayor on an interim basis during the election campaign, wished him good luck in his new tenure. After about two months of campaign, Dorin Chirtoaca started the meeting of City Hall officials with hearing a report on the work done by the municipal subdivisions. He inquired about the state of the roads, the auctions performed by the municipality in the period, the situation of the children, the current repair works and the sanitation situation in the municipality. According to the preliminary results announced by the Central Election Commission, in the second round of mayoral elections in Chisinau on June 19 the PL’s candidate Dorin Chirtoaca polled 50.6% of the vote and thus emerged victorious.
