Chiril Moţpan: Personal security measures are required for members of inquiry commissions

Chiril Moţpan, chairman of National Security, Defence and Public Order parliamentary committee, says that personal security measures for members and, in particular, chairmen of inquiry parliamentary committees are required. The MP maintains that this conclusion stems from some information obtained by the Committee led by him, IPN reports.

"The investigations initiated by the Parliamentary Committees of Inquiry on the elucidation of circumstances of the banking system looting and the analysis of 2013-2019 privatizations and concessions, gave a rough time to the authors of these obscure and criminal schemes. The determination, intransigence and responsibility assumed by the chairmen of these Committees of utmost importance, Alexandru Slusari and Igor Munteanu, disturbed the peace of too many figures involved in thefts of unimaginable proportions. The committees have made substantial progress in investigating these topics of national interest, and some information obtained by the parliamentary committee for National Security, Defence and Public Order indicates that personal security measures for members and, in particular, chairmen of parliamentary committees are required." wrote Chiril Moţpan in a post on social networks.

"I have read the information posted by the Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Security about the possible danger to the Inquiry Committees’ heads. I took note of it. I don't want to speculate much on this subject. Only fools do not fear. But I will not ask for guards and I will not change my life style. The Committee’s report is in the pipeline and it will be published anyway”, reacted one of the concerned chairmen of the inquiry committees, Alexandru Slusari, also in a network posting.
