The Chinese Film Week will take place in Moldova between October 18 and 22. China’s Ambassador to Moldova Tong Mingtao has told IPN he hopes that owing to this event, the Moldovan people will find out more about China, while the Chinese Film Week will strengthen mutual understanding and will deepen the relations of friendship between Moldova and China.
As part of the Chinese Film Week in Moldova, there will be shown ten films selected for screening because they are popular both in the country and abroad. The opening of the event will take place on October 18, at 4pm. The movies will be screened at the Odeon Movie Theater, with Russian and English subtitles. Entrance is free of charge.
Ambassador Tong Mingtao said the Embassy of China wants a great audience at the movies so that more people find out the cultural particularities of China, especially as regards the development of the national cinematography.
On October 18, at 4:30pm, there will be shown the movie “The piano from factory”, while at 6:40pm – “The Chinese zodiac”. The film “Flowers of war” will be screened on October 19, at 4pm, while “Lost in Thailand” – at 6:40pm.
On October 20, at 5pm, there will be shown the movie “Dyed skin 2”, while at 7:30pm – “The mother” On October 21, at 5pm, the moviegoers are invited to “Caught in the net”, while at 7:20pm – to “Hua Mulan”.
On the last day of the Chinese Film Week in Moldova, at 5pm, there will be screened a film about young people made last year, while the event will be closed by “The Great Master” at 7:30pm.
