China to grant financial aid to Moldova

China will give Moldova 20 million yuan (2 million euros) to support economic and social development. The announcement was made by Chinese deputy premier Li Keqiang meeting a Moldovan parliamentary deputation in China on October 22. Moldovan speaker Marian Lupu says, although in 2007, compared to 2006, the volume of bilateral trade increased 74%, Moldova is interested in promoting the Moldovan exports on the Chinese market, reads a communique by the Parliament's press unit. Moldova is interesting through the investment climate allowing the possible creation of joint companies, the production of which may be exported to the EU, Marian Lupu added, referring to Autonomous Trade Preferences the EU grants Moldova. Those 20 million yuan will be given to Moldova as a grant.
