China interested in developing projects in Moldova’s ICT sector

The Chinese company AVIC International Holding Corporation is interested in developing a number of investment projects in the area of information and communication technology. Representatives of the company had a meeting with Minister of Information and Communication Technology Pavel Filip, where they discussed the current state of the Moldovan-Chinese relations and the possibility of establishing cooperation within different projects in the ICT sector, IPN reports.

According to the Ministry of Information and Communication Technology, the Government of Moldova is preparing to sign a memorandum with the Chinese ICT Ministry. “This agreement will create appropriate conditions for developing bilateral cooperation on the ICT segment,” said Pavel Filip.

He also said that the Government aims to ensure suitable conditions for investing in this sector. For the purpose, there was approved the Digital Moldova Strategy 2020. Also, they are working out an ICT Sector Competitiveness Strategy, a bill on the IT parks and the single emergency system 112.

AVIC International Holding Corporation vice president Liu Jun approved of the policies pursued by Moldova and expressed interest in establishing cooperation relations.
