The children’s holiday this year starts two days earlier. A large number of activates will be organized in Chisinau for children and youth as from May 30, Info-Prim Neo reports. The municipal division for children’s rights protection will hold a meeting with orphan ninth graders in the meeting hall of Centru District Office on May 30 starting at 11.00, and a meeting of elevenths and twelfth graders starting at 14.00. A performance for orphans will be given at the Mihai Eminescu National Theater starting at 15.00. On May 31, the Centru District Office will organize cultural-artistic, sport and informative activities in the square of Unic store starting at 12.00. Volunteers of the College of Medicine and of the Pedagogical College will offer advice on health, education and family in the street as part of the project “Childhood without Risk”. They will set up informative stands and provide medical-consultative and psycho-pedagogical services. There will be inaugurated photo exhibitions about the activity of the children’s and youth community centers located in Centru district as well as book and handicraft exhibits. The children could take part in a contest of drawings on asphalt titled “Miraculous Chalk”, chess and draught competitions, demonstrative exercises and other activities. Cultural-artistic activities will be simultaneously held in all the districts of Chisinau on June 1. At 9.00, the municipal division for children’s rights protection will organize the benefit “Gift for the Child Confined to Bed”. There will be distributed packages with food products to 123 children with serious deficiencies. The general division of education, youth and sport will organize the Juniors’ and Children’s Taekwon-do Championship of Chisinau municipality at the sports school No.6. It will start at 9.00, while the mini-football tournament for children will start at 10.00. Football competitions between teams of the children’s and youth community centers “Chisinau Cup” will start at the Stadium of the Technical University of Moldova at 11.00. There will be announced the results of the March-April Cup. A concert titled “In the Childhood’s Garden”, given by children’s artistic groups from Chisinau, will take place in the square of the National Opera House between 15.30 and 17.30. A contest of drawings on asphalt will be organized in the same square. The theater lovers are invited to a performance for children in the Public Garden “Stephan the Great” at 16.00. Public personalities and writers will attend the event. The singers Aura, Georgeta Voinovan, Adrian Ursu, Geta Burlacu, Serge Kuzencov, Natalia Barbu, Anatol Lupu, the band Catarsis and other artists will give a concert titled “Let’s Sing Together” for children and parents in the square of the National Opera House starting at 18.00. On the Children’s Day, the social rehabilitation center for children “Casa Gavroche” will organize a trip to the Public Garden “Stephan the Great” and a sweet meal at a café located near Plovdiv restaurant. The re-socialization and rehabilitation center for deaf children “Casa Sperantei”, the center for preventing child abuse “Amicul” and the community center for physically disabled children and youth will also organize cultural and charity activities. Concerts by children’s artistic groups, exhibitions, contests, sports competitions and other activities will be organized in all the districts of Chisinau with the support of the district heads’ offices. The organizers will offer sweets, ice-cream and many surprises to the kids.
