The Association “Children's Friends” is launching an awareness and fundraising campaign themed “Be Near Boarding School Children on Easter”. The collected money will be used for maintaining the ludoteques (playrooms) set up in six Moldovan boarding schools, the Association says in a press release, quoted by Info-Prim Neo. The campaign will be carried out between March 26 and April 12 at the Shopping MallDova center in Chisinau. It will open with an exhibition of works made by children. On March 27, children of the Straseni Boarding School will give a concert. “I think one cannot remain indifferent to such a campaign, especially before the Easter holidays. By such events, we can raise funds and purchase teaching aids, games and toys for children from different boarding schools. We also stage different cultural programs outside the institutions where these children spent most of the time,” said the Association's head Tatiana Lungu. “Children's Friends” is a nongovernmental organization that protects chidlren's rights. It promotes informal education and the game culture for the harmonious development of the child.
