Sergiu Botezatu has launched his children’s poetry book “What is good and what is bad” on May 24. In the launch held at the Municipal Library “B. P. Hasdeu” in Chisinau, the author said he dedicates this book to his daughter Victorita, IPN reports.
Sergiu Botezatu noted that when he was close to finishing a lyrical and philosophical poetry book entitled “One step from you”, he thought to write a poetry book for children and his daughter was the one who inspired him. “The book contains a profound educational message that helps the parents and children to develop good qualities. Being a book for children, it offers answers when questions appear how they should act in one case or another,” he said.
The head of the branch of the European Writers’ Council in Moldova Diana Zlatan-Ciugureanu stated that author Sergiu Botezatu is a poet of rare sensibility, philosophic profoundness and holy honesty. “We have who to be proud of as a poet and as a writer. This time he managed to make his debut as a teacher,” said Diana Zlatan-Ciugureanu. She added that the author showed affective and generous attitude to the little readers, publishing a nicely and interestingly illustrated book and being ready to share his wisdom with them.
The book “What is good and what is bad” was printed in 10,000 copies. On June 1, this will be donated to the nursery schools of Chisinau municipality during matinees. It will also be distributed at different charity fairs so that it reaches children in rural areas too.
