The insulin used by diabetics is fully compensated by the state. Those who receive treatment with insulin analogs can already go to the family doctor, at the place of residence, to get the medicine.
Boris Golovin, head of the Association of Patients with Diabetes, said many persons go to see a doctor too late, when they experience serious complications already. Among the factors that lead to diabetes are the sedentary way of life, obesity, incorrect nourishment, smoking and alcohol abuse.
Diabetes is one of the most spread non-transmitted chronic diseases and most frequent endocrinal disease.
