Moldovan children will study to play chess at their physical education classes, starting from September 2009, the Government decided, Info- Prim Neo reports. The Government will set up a board to coordinate curricula and textbooks to study chess and to train chess teachers. The Sports Agency and the National Chess Federation are to assist the Education and Youth Ministry compile a list of “equipment necessary to study chess in schools, to develop textbooks in function of the children's age, and to hold competitions.”
