Children share martisors for a smile
VictoriaBank in partnership with the Social Mission “Diaconia” initiated the social campaign “A Martisor for a Smile” that will be carried out on the first spring days at the branches and representative offices of VictoriaBank in Chisinau, Info-Prim Neo reports.
During the first March days, the clients of VictoriaBank will receive by a martisor (trinket worn in honor of March 1) made in February by children of the children’s home located in Solonet village of Soroca district, which is under the tutelage of VictoriaBank, and by children that attend the social centers “Maria Magdalena” in Rosu village of Cahul district and “Vasile cel Mare” in Cania village of Cantemir district, founded by the Social Mission “Diaconia”.
Through the trinkets, the children transmit their warmth, kindness, tenderness and cheerfulness to grownups. Instead, they will receive by a smile for every trinket made with dedication and creativity. The participants in the project are aged between 7 and 15 and are from socially vulnerable families or are orphans.
“The aim of the campaign is to support the children that need assistance by involving them in different activities that stimulate creativity and are useful during spare time,” said Igor Belei, the director of the Social Mission “Diaconia”.
“Through this campaign, VictoriaBank aims to support the orphans and children from socially vulnerable families,” said Ludmila Artin, the head of the Publicity and Public Relations Department of VictoriaBank. The bank will transfer money into the accounts of the two social centers and of the children’s home in Solonet. The money will be used to purchase basic necessities for these children.
The Social Mission “Diaconia” is the social institution of the Bessarabian Metropolitan Church, founded in 2003. The mission implements projects aimed at supporting children in difficulty.
