All the children in the Chisinau municipality included in the list of beneficiaries of back to school allowance will get the money by the end of August at the latest, manager of the General Department of Education, Youth and Sports, Tatiana Tverdohleb, states. The stipends are already being given out in Botanica district of the capital city. The cited source mentions that the lists were concluded by directors of the education establishments, at the proposal of the form masters. In the socially vulnerable families, in which more children of school age are being educated, usually only one child benefits from the respective allowance. The rest of them are offered discounts on hiring handbooks. The value of the stipends offered by the municipality for buying school supplies is of 500 lei per child. The sum settled by the budget for the about 6.7 thousand beneficiaries goes up to 3,350 million lei. Last year, the offered stipend was of 400 lei.
