The band “Millenium” is celebrating 15 years of the foundation. On this occasion, it will give a concert for children from a number of orphanages within the campaign “I Love Moldova”, Info-Prim Neo reports. “During the 15 years, the “Millenium” school had been attended by many talented young persons, including Natalia Barbu, Natalia Gordienko, Alex Calancea, and Alexandru Gorgos. On this occasion, we are preparing a surprise – a piece of casting for talented children from all over the country,” the band’s manager Vlad Gorgos said in a news conference. Igor Dodon, the leader of the Party of Socialists and the initiator of the campaign “I Love Moldova”, said that they will sponsor this concert, but the move is not political in character. “This year, we have cooperated with “Millenium” and this cooperation will go on. This band makes Moldova famous abroad. I think the singers are the best emissaries,” he stated. Five orphanages have been contacted so far and 280 children accepted the invitation to take part in the concert. The trips to Chisinau will be organized for them. Igor Dodon said he would be glad if his colleagues from Parliament joined this event. The singers of “Millenium” said the jubilee concert will include the best songs from their repertoire, since the appearance of the band, in 1997, until present.
