Children from Chisinau’s educational institutions in danger

The kindergartens and schools from Chisinau will be minutely checked up to detect possible hazards to children's health, Info-Prim Neo reports. At the City Hall’s sitting of Monday, March 31, general mayor Dorin Chirtoaca asked to verify the educational institutions more severely. The request comes after five children in kindergarten 151 from the capital poisoned themselves last week, taking sedative anticonvulsive pills. The head of the Education General Direction, Tatiana Tverdohleb, said such situations might happen because foreigners intruded into schools and kindergartens after classes and would leave different objects. The Education Direction Head has said her subordinates agreed with the municipal police to verify educational institutions more severely. The head of the municipal police, Iacob Gumenita, blamed the kindergarten’s manager, guards and cleaners for not taking their duties seriously enough. Mayor Dorin Chirtoaca suggested they should think of European-level security systems to be installed in institutions to prevent foreigners from intruding. Tatiana Tverdohleb says the intoxicated children are OK now.
