The lump sum paid at the birth of a child will be by 300 lei larger and will be 2,600 lei for the first child and 2,900 lei for every next child, Info-Prim Neo reports. Minister of Labor, Social Protection and Family Valentina Buliga said the larger childbirth allowances will be paid from January, both to medically ensured and medically uninsured persons. The allowance for taking care of the child up to the age of three (for medically insured persons) and up to the age of one year and a half (for medically uninsured persons) will be calculated based on the formula used earlier.
