A child scared by a stray dog was running away and was struck by a car in the courtyard of the building where he lives. Evelina Rusu, coordinating doctor at the Chisinau Ambulance Service, has told Info-Prim Neo that the nine-year-old boy was hit by a Smart car. He suffered a thigh wound and multiple excoriations and was taken to Valentin Ignatenko Hospital. A girl aged 10 was admitted to the Mother and Child Center with her left shoulder dislocated and contusion of the soft tissues of the right thigh. She was struck by a Zaporojets car in Boscana village of Criuleni district. She sought help from the doctors of the ambulance service of Vadul lui Voda, from where she was transported to the hospital in Chisinau. A woman aged 40 stabbed herself in the abdomen during a quarrel with her husband. The ambulance doctors gave her first aid and took her to the Emergency Hospital to be operated on. During the last 24 hours, the Chisinau ambulances traveled to 779 addresses, dealing with 52 cases of acute viral infection, 25 cases of pneumonia, 76 cases of trauma, five strokes and 25 deliveries.
