Child remains alive after electrocuted
A baby girl was rushed to the hospital with serious finger burns after she touched an electric cable.
Eufalia Negreata, coordinating doctor at the Chisinau Ambulance Service, has told Info-Prim Neo that the girl aged 10 months was left in the care of her grandmother at her house. She crawled under the bed, where she touched the electric cable with both of the hands. The child suffered third- and fourth-degree burns on the forefingers. She was taken to “Valentin Ignatenko” hospital.
Two young women aged 19 and 24 tried to kill themselves by taking pills, but were discovered on time and admitted to Saint Trinity Hospital for detox.
A 45-year-old man was found dead near the Train Station. He died as a result of a pulmonary hemorrhage. The ambulance doctors presume he was suffering from tuberculosis. The cause of death is being established.
Yesterday and last night, the Chisinau Ambulance Service dealt with 725 calls, including 60 cases of trauma, 40 cases of acute viral infection, 8 strokes and 24 deliveries.
