A child aged two died in a home fire in Gribova village of Drochia district on February 23. Another minor aged 11 was rushed to the hospital with burns, IPN reports.

According to the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations, the firefighters were called out after 3pm. The fire was localized in about half an hour. The firemen found the partially carbonized body of the child in the destroyed house.

The 11-year-old boy, who tried to extinguish the fire himself, suffered burns and was taken to the district hospital for medical care.

The cause of fire is yet to be found out. It is not yet known were boys’ parents were.
