A child aged one month was rushed to the Cahul District Hospital in a coma, together with another two persons who were involved in a road accident between the villages Cucoara and Chircani of Cahul district in the afternoon on July 10, IPN reports.
Head of the press service of the General Police Inspectorate Sabina Cojusnean has told IPN that a driver tried to overtake a car and collided head-on with the vehicle where there were the two hurt grownups and the baby. The driver and the female passenger were admitted to the hospital in a serious condition, while the child went into a coma.
The driver who attempted to overtake didn’t need medical care.
Update: Both of the drivers were subject to breath tests. The results showed that none of them drank alcohol. The vehicle in which the child traveled didn’t have a child safety seat that is required up to the age of 12.
