Child crushed to death in car accident
A child was killed when he was crushed under the wheels of a speeding car on the central street of a village.
Dana Andronic, PR specialist of the Traffic Police Division, has told Info-Prim Neo that the tragedy happened on July 21 in Seliste village of Nisporeni district. The nine-year-old boy was crossing the street when he was struck by a Renault driven by a 24-year-old man. The boy died on the scene of the accident.
The same evening, a Peugeot hit from behind a KAMAZ truck that suddenly turned left on a road in Orhei district. The 33-year-old driver of the car died on the spot.
A minor aged 10 from Edinet town was struck by an Audi A-6 driven by a 23-year-old woman. He suffered a leg fracture.
A seven-year-old boy was rushed to the Mother and Child Center with a cranial-cerebral trauma, contusion, and fractures of the left shank and left clavicle after he was struck by a Brilliance car in Porumbeni village, Criuleni.
Another boy, aged 8, got his left leg injured when the Hyundai car in which he was traveling was hit by a Volkswagen-Passat near the municipality of Balti.
Two persons were killed and eight hurt in nine traffic accidents yesterday and last night. The traffic police fined 74 drivers for speeding.
