A group of psychologists will provide assistance to the classmates of the child from Rezina who shot himself with his father’s gun. The Ministry of Education and Research said that employees of the National Center for Psycho-pedagogical Assistance visited the institution on Monday to provide psychological support to students, IPN reports.

The police were alerted on the evening of June 8 by a 44-year-old man who found his son dead. At the scene, it was established that the 15-year-old boy killed himself with his father’s hunting rifle, which the man legally owned and kept in his safe. The teenager got the keys, opened the safe, from where he took the gun and a cartridge. The case is being investigated by the police.

The Ministry of Education and Research and the National Agency for Curriculum and Assessment offered the students from the deceased boy’s class the opportunity to choose whether to take the exams in the basic session or the additional session, taking into account the challenges faced by the children as a result of the loss of a classmate.

The General Police Inspectorate repeatedly calls on the parents to communicate continuously with their children, to hide forbidden objects from them and to monitor how they children, especially the teenagers, spend their time.
