Chicu Government’s resignation paves way for dissolution of Parliament and snap elections, PAS

The Chicu Government’s resignation paves the constitutional way, which is the shortest one, for the dissolution of Parliament and for snap legislative elections, IPN quoted acting president of the Party of Action and Solidarity (PAS) Igor Grosu as saying in a press briefing.

“The Chicu Government tendered his resignation. Dear citizens, this was possible owing to your pressure. The resignation of the Chicu Goverbment is the result of the pressure exerted by the citizens, who trenchantly asked for the replacement of the political class in the presidential elections,” stated Igor Grosu.

“It is our duty to do what the people ask and the people ask for snap elections. The Chicu Government’s resignation paves the constitutional way, which is the shortest one, for the dissolution of Parliament and for snap legislative elections, as the citizens asked.”

Igor Grosu noted that the current Parliament no longer has a majority of minimum 51 MPs needed to generate a responsible, honest and professional Government able to satisfy the people’s needs.
