Cherries that at the start of the season cost 200 lei per kilogram are now sold at the market for 20-45 lei. Hothouse strawberries are sold for 40 to 45 lei kg, while peaches for minimum 40 lei/kg, IPN reports.

A bundle of dill or parcel costs 1-2 lei, while of onion leaves 2-8 lei. Cucumbers are sold for 12-23 lei per kilogram, tomatoes for 10 to 45 lei, marrows for 18-20 lei, while a bundle of radish for 8 lei. A kilogram of new potatoes can be bought for 12-16 lei, while of old potatoes for 8 lei.

River fish prices oscillate between 28 and 65 lei a kilogram, depending on species, while sea fish is sold for 50 to 195 lei kg.

Cow cheese costs 45 lei/kg, butter 60-100 lei, ewe’s cheese 45-60 lei, while homemade sour cream 35 lei.

Ten eggs are sold for 10-12 lei.

Pork costs 50-55 lei/kg, beef 60 lei and more, while chicken 45 lei.
