The customers of the Tempo service of the Voxtel Company can send short messages at extremely low prices, if they buy the recently launched “SMS Packages”. According to the company, this service provides several possibilities of using short messages at very low prices for Tempo customers. Thus, a package includes 20 SMS messages for just one dollar; the second package includes 50 messages at the price of 2 dollars. Packages are to become a stable service, being offered just to the Tempo clients. Messages can be sent on any GSM number in Moldova and can be used only within 30 days since procuring the package. By the end of this period, or at the end of the Tempo active period, the unconsumed messages from the package will expire. On the other hand, international messages will not be consumed from the messages included in the package. Moreover, in the period from November 28, 2006 to January 31, 2007 Tempo users will have the possibility to buy a “Super package” including 100 SMS messages at a promotion price of only 3 dollars. According to the data presented by ANRTI, Voxtel is the leader on the mobile telephony market of Moldova. On the criterion of the company’s income, the market share of “Voxtel” is of 69.7%. The amount of investments in the development of mobile telephony networks by Voxtel constitutes USD 151.4 mln. According to ANTRI estimations, the coverage of the Voxtel network is 94.45% of Moldova’s territory and 96.95% of its population. Out of 1.275 mln mobile telephony users, 815,000 are Voxtel customers.
