The charges on international roaming between Moldova and Poland may be decreased. A memorandum in this respect was signed by Information and Communication Technology Minister of Moldova Pavel Filip and Minister of Administration and Digitization of Poland Michal Boni in Warsaw, IPN reports.
Under the memorandum, the signatory parties will encourage the mobile phone carriers from Moldova and Poland to reach agreements to reduce the international roaming charges for the benefits of the two states. Specialists consider that the roaming charges set in the EU can be used as points of reference when negotiating the new charges.
The negotiations will be closed in a year of the signing of the memorandum.
This is not the first document of cooperation in communications. Earlier, Moldova and Poland signed an agreement of cooperation in the mail and telecommunications sectors.
