The Government approved amendments to the regulations concerning the procedure for testing future drivers and issuing a driver’s license and the period of valdity of the license. These envision the modernization and improvement of the quality of the public service by reducing the number of necessary documents, costs and the period for providing the service, IPN reports.
There will be ensured the interoperability of data from the information systems of the Ministry of Home Affairs, the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Education and Research when licensing persons entitled to drive.
The relevant normative framework will be adjusted to the EU legislation by partially transposing the provisions of the EU Driving License Directive concerning the requirements for examiners and the examination procedure for obtaining the right to drive. This will bring benefits in the context of the negotiations on driving license conversion agreements.
